The Ottawa Valley Chapter of the Air and Waste Management Association (A&WMA-OVC) will be hosting a presentation and networking event on “Sustainability: What’s New in Urban & Community Design” on December 9, 2014.
The Presentation will showcase advancements in planning and the development of buildings and communities that reflect greater sustainability objectives. Planning, design, operational practices, and technology advancements will be discussed through highlights on:
- Community connectivity & transportation, district energy systems, food production
- Operational practices for sustained high performance
- Technologies that reduce building energy loads and optimize renewable energy systems

NOTE: The A&WMA-OVC Chapter will be holding their Annual General Meeting immediately following the Question / Answer period. All A&WMA members are encouraged to attend. We also welcome any non-members who would like to learn more about the chapter and/or become involved in the work that we do.
The AGM will include election of the 2015 Board of Directors at which all attending A&WMA members can vote. The 2015 OVC Board still has a number of open positions for which nominations are being accepted and we strongly encourage A&WMA members to stand for positions on the Board.
