The Ottawa Valley Chapter of the Air and Waste Management Association (A&WMA) will be holding a Workshop on Chemicals Management and Nanotechnology on November 3, 2009. This all-day event will be held in Ottawa at the Monterrey Inn. The purpose of the workshop will be to examine the regulatory and other issues related to chemicals management. The regulation and use of nanotechnology, a rapidly evolving and challenging issue, will also be explored. The workshop will be of interest to individuals in government, the chemical and nanotechnology industry, consulting and ENGOs. Workshop sessions will cover the following topics:
- Regulatory Issues Involved with Chemicals Management and Nanotechnology
- Non-Regulatory Issues Involved with Chemicals Management
- Non-Regulatory Issues Involved with Nanotechnology
- Health and Risk Analysis Aspects of Chemicals Management
